With the eleventh pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected linebacker Patrick Willis. The 49ers have enjoyed Willis' ability for awhile now, although many believed they would pass on him to select defensive end Adam Carriker instead.

Willis is consistently around the ball and has shown the uncanny ability to give jarring hits. He closes in on the ball carrier well and works hard whenever he is on the field.

Willis was definitely considered this year's top linebacker, but it was expected that he would go one pick later to the Buffalo Bills.
