Two more draft picks are in the books. The Browns signed both DeMario Minter and Babatunde Oshinowo to four-year deals on Wednesday. Sources have been stating that the Browns should have all of their draft picks signed by the time training camp starts, and the progress over the past few days seems to indicate that those sources are indeed true.

DeMario Minter: Minter was selected in the sixth round. At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, he played for four years at Georgia. As far as a job goes, Minter will have a tough time making the final active roster. He missed most of the Browns practice sessions in spring to a knee injury. He is expected to contribute in training camp, but with all of the recent cornerback signings the Browns have been making, I'd have to believe they're looking elsewhere for a fourth cornerback. I would bank on Minter starting the season on the practice squad or the physically unable to perform list.

Babatunde Oshinowo: What a name, eh? At 6-foot-1, 302 pounds, Oshinowo hails from Stanford, where he made 34 starts. He has experience in the 3-4 system as a nose tackle, and could be the future heir to Ted Washington if we get lucky(not everyone find their future in the sixth-round, excluding Tom Brady). Remember though, we passed on Haloti Ngata, and acquired this pick in theory from the Ravens in order to select one of the higher-rated defensive tackles in the draft. During his career, he recorded 15 sacks. I am expecting Oshinowo to make the roster and share some time with Washington.

And now, here is some other general news regarding the Browns:

Good Old Qasim: Remember Qasim Mitchell, one of the offensive lineman that many felt we shouldn't have gotten rid of? After playing for the Chicago Bears for three seasons, including 16 starts, they have decided to release him.

Browns Huddle in PD: Starting this Friday in the Plain Dealer, their will be a special weekly section on the Browns, as the Browns Huddle moves to the popular newspaper. The special reports will be in the Plain Dealer throughout the preseason and the regular season.
