Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Rice will not walk into training camp with any secure job - he'll have to fight for it.
Although it's likely that Rice will perform, Bronco's head coach Mike Shanahan said that he will keep the best five receivers on his team. Rod Smith and Ashley Lelie will not be cut, and neither will Darius Watts.
That means that Rice will likely need to win the fourth job if he wants any playing time. Theoretically it shouldn't be too much of a problem considering there isn't a major challenge past Watts, but anything can happen.
"If you're not[one of the best five on the team], I'd have one of the toughest jobs in the worldto release a guy that is arguably the best player to ever play the game," Shanahan stated.
