-
Dallas Cowboys safety Keith Davis was shot in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning, according to authorities. Supposedly, Davis was struck in the head, hip, and leg while driving home at around 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 635.

After Davis was shot, a passenger in his vehicle took control of the car and drove him to RHD Memorial Medical Center in Carrollton. Thankfully, his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. However, early reports do not indicate whether or not he'll be ready to play at the start of training camp on July 27th.

Before the 2003 season, Davis was shot three times outside of a club. He was released by the Cowboys after that incident, and then returned in 2004 to the Cowboys. He ended up playing so well on special teams that he was able to become the team's starting free safety last year, recording 66 tackles on the season. We at Pro Football Critics wish Davis the best of luck in his recovery.
