Denver Broncos' running back Mike Anderson felt better this week in practice and may be ready to play this week against the San Diego Chargers. Anderson had sore ribs after carrying the ball four times for five yards last week.
"He had a lot of reps in practice today and looked pretty good out there," said Denver head coach Mike Shanahan. "So unless there's a setback, he should be ready to go."
The Broncos, who usually excel in the running game, did not do anything overwhelming in that area against the Dolphins in Week 1. Anderson had an impressive preseason to win the starting role.
