After tidying things up the past few weeks, I am OFFICIALLY opening the PFC Pick'em contest for the 2008-2009 season! For full details on rules and prizes, please visit the Rules/FAQ section.

Since I wrote the Pick'em script myself this year, there may be bugs. For anything errors that you encounter, please post a message in the message boards section. I encourage you to make picks during the preseason so that I may test the software, but preseason picks do NOT count towards the official contest, and are just for practice.

Join now, and good luck!

We're getting a lot closer to the official start of the PFC Pick'em contest! I believe I have the survivor pool working now, which is great news. Before I open up public registration, I am going to need to load in the preseason schedule too. Throughout the four preseason weeks, you'll be testing for any bugs to ensure that problems do not occur during the regular season.

Other minor bugs that have been fixed over the past few weeks:

-On personal profile page, picks show correctly week-by-week.
-Various color errors.

Hello everybody! I'd like to thank all of you that have helped me beta test this football pool. I haven't really been keeping a public log of the work I've been doing, so I'll try to get started on that. I'm only listing things starting with what I did today; going back in time and trying to remember when I did what would be kind of tedious.

-Completely built the message board system associated with the pool.
-Things to work on still include: post icons, signature capabilities, and showing user records under names in posts
-Also, include message board material in user profiles, such as recent posts.

My next goal is to lay out the groundwork for the survivor pool. After that, I'll have the task of working on an admin interface. As always, if you find any bugs, send me an email at pokorny@pfcritics.com. I also encourage you to test out the message board; the more testing that gets done, the more bugs that you'll help me find (which is a good thing, because it quickens the process to the final product!). -Chris Pokorny
