Who is the best quarterback in the NFL? Statistically, we all know that it's going to be Peyton Manning once again. However, will his brother Eli have a chance to catch him? In our rankings below, Eli is ranked sixth, only five spots behind his big brother. Wouldn't it be something if in just a few years, Manning and Manning held the first and second spots, respectively?

Trailing Peyton is Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, who took the league by storm last year. Although he has some injury concerns heading into this season, he won't be stopped from a repeat performance of last season.

Despite a poot season last year, Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper has claimed the fourth spot. And, why is Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb rated so low? Find out by reading our full rankings, and don't forget to bookmark this site for daily fantasy news around the NFL. These quarterback rankings were made on July 14th, 2006.

Rank Player Comment
Peyton Manning With a questionable run game, Manning could be passing more than ever.
Carson Palmer With Palmer's talent, he'll quickly make you forget about his injury.
Tom Brady One of the most reliable QBs in the game has two rookie weapons now.
Daunte Culpepper Culpepper can redeem himself on one of the hottest teams in the league.
Jake Plummer Was last season a fluke? The addition of Walker should provide a boost.
Eli Manning How does he improve this year? Cutting down on the 4 INT games.
Marc Bulger Without injuries, the Rams are still a powerhouse offense.
Kurt Warner With a proven running back, Warner has all the targets he needs.
Jake Delhomme With the addition of Keyshawn, he won't focus on Smith too often.
Drew Bledsoe Terrell Owens will definitely replace Keyshawn, and then some.
Matt Hasselbeck He lost a touchdown machine in Jurevicius last year, but Jackson is back.
Brett Favre With how often Favre still guns it, he'll put up TDs without question.
Trent Green He usually throws a lot, but this year the focus shifts to the run even more.
Phillip Rivers Gates and Tomlinson will ease the youngster along smoothly.
Drew Brees He's taking on a challenge with a chance to revive yet another team.
Donovan McNabb He's the best QB ranked this low. His WRs are the ones that need proven.
Ben Roethlisberger Big Ben is meant to manage a game, not light it up left and right.
Steve McNair You can't argue with the Ravens moves, but his injuries remain a concern.
Mark Brunell To repeat last year's performance, he just needs to play it safely again.
Byron Leftwich We know he can gun it, but will Garrard be breathing down his neck?
Chris Simms The youngster continues to impress, but the Bucs are defense-oriented.
Brad Johnson He makes the necessary throws when the Vikings need him.
Charlie Frye Losing Edwards hurts, but having Winslow and Jurevicius helps.
Jon Kitna He'll be better than Harrington ever was, but this offense needs work.
Billy Volek Volek can light it up, but Vince Young is bound to see some playing time.
Aaron Brooks The connection with Moss has potential, but can Brooks really execute?
Michael Vick *sigh* If only Vick could pass.
Chad Pennington *sigh* If only his shoulder could stay healthy.
David Carr Give the Texans credit for sticking with Carr, but he needs a big year.
Rex Grossman The Bears are all about running and defense, not passing.
Buffalo Bills QB Holcomb would do the best, but the passing game is nothing special.
Alex Smith It'll still be a learning year for Smith.
Vince Young He'll get a chance to play some time, and it'll be fun to watch.
Patrick Ramsey We know Pennington won't make it through all 16 games.
Kyle Boller We know McNair won't make it through all 16 games.
David Garrard If Leftwich begins to struggle, Garrard will pose a challenge.
Joey Harrington Culpepper's health may keep him out to start the season.
Charlie Batch If Big Ben suffers a minor injury, Batch can step in and win.
Josh McCown Kitna will likely win the job, but McCown still has a chance.
Matt Leinart If Warner gets hurt, Leinart will keep the job.
