Tell Chris your opinion.

It is Week 14 in the NFL, and the San Diego Chargers have finally claimed their top spot at the top of our rankings. The Indianapolis Colts have held that spot all season long, but after dropping their second game in three tries, they finally fell a spot. An NFC team besides the Chicago Bears has jumped into the top five, that being the Dallas Cowboys at No. 4. Tony Romo has led Dallas to an incredible surge and could very well have the Cowboys ready to take home-field advantage away from the Bears. These rankings were made on December 6th, 2006, right before Week 14. These rankings take into account the momentum teams had from last week, as well as their expectations heading into the season.

Rank Team Comment
(2) - For the first time this season, the Chargers have taken over first place. It's amazing what Tomlinson has done the second half of the season.
(1) - It's no where near panic time for the Colts, but we're not used to seeing them lose two of three. Maybe we should question why their offense couldn't beat Tennessee.
(3) - Things weren't overly pretty against the Lions, but Tom Brady and the Patriots remain comfortably ahead in their division.
(6) - The Cowboys have surpassed the Bears as my top team in the NFC thanks to the emergence of Tony Romo.
(4) - Losing B.J. Sams could turn out to be a big-time loss for the Ravens, as they use special teams as a major part of their success.
(5) - Rex Grossman has played horribly, but can you justify benching him with such a good record? Yes...
(8) - The "Reggie Bush" era may have finally arrived with his four touchdown effort against the 49ers.
(14) - As rusty as he may have played at times, Hasselbeck is 2-0 since returning from injury.
(10) - First, the Bengals offense hit its peak. Suddenly, the defense has reaches its peak too - now that's scary.
(7) - Jay Cutler performed exactly as I thought he would, because Denver's offensive system is not operated very well.
(13) - If Garrard leads the Jaguars to the postseason, I don't think Leftwich will be back next season.
(9) - Upsets do happen in the NFL, and the Chiefs have to hope that's the only thing they suffered against Cleveland.
(15) - Eric Mangini may deserve coach of the year more so than Sean Payton does.
(11) - I'm not sure if any team has ever played as bad as the Giants have in their stretch in terms of collapsing, and still been in position to make the postseason.
(19) - After turning in his second straight solid performance, it may actually be the defense that needs to step it up for a shot at the playoffs.
(12) - The Panthers are basically in a must-win situation against the Giants this week.
(20) - I can't stress this enough: Vick needs to get the ball to Alge Crumpler every week.
(16) - The buzz in Miami has worn down after their loss to Jacksonville.
(25) - A team that beats the Eagles, Giants, and Colts in a row has something special for the future - Vince Young.
(17) - The Rams have to be kicking themselves: a home loss to Arizona prevents them from being a wildcard team.
(18) - The 49ers haven't been as strong on the road over the past two weeks, something they'll improve upon next season.
(22) - The Steelers won't make the playoffs, but they won't be a walkover to close the season.
(24) - You have to be impressed with Jason Campbell already having two wins under his belt.
(21) - With a little more potency offensively, Losman could have the Bills in contention next season.
(27) - Derek Anderson won't push Charlie Frye away, but his effort in relief was very admirable.
(26) - Despite winning some games, it's been another disappointing year for Houston.
(23) - The Packers have fallen flat after almost getting into the wildcard race.
(28) - Brad Johnson won't be the Vikings starting quarterback next season, so they should bench him now.
(29) - Every time Bruce Gradkowski struggles, the thought of keeping Chris Simms grows stronger.
(32) - And just like that, Matt Leinart has the Cardinals offense heading in the right direction again.
(30) - *Yawn*
(31) - I'd like to see what Randy Moss can do outside of Oakland.
