Tell Chris your opinion.

In our Week 16 Power Rankings, the Philadelphia Eagles were the only team to take a major leap in the higher portion of the rankings. In fact, everyone above Philadelphia stayed exactly where they were, despite several teams losing. And, an unusual instance at this point of the season, it seemed like every team had playoff hopes until I got down to team No. 27, the Cleveland Browns. That should make for an exciting two weeks of football to finish the season. These rankings were made on December 20th, 2006, right before Week 16. These rankings take into account the momentum teams had from last week, as well as their expectations heading into the season.

Rank Team Comment
(1) - It's getting to the point where fans are shocked if Tomlinson doesn't have a hat trick every Sunday.
(2) - Even with Kyle Boller playing most of last game, the Ravens won to stay in the home-field race.
(3) - Getting pressure on Carson Palmer is a step forward for the Colts defense, but let's not forget their offense got it done.
(4) - It only makes sense that when Grossman starts playing better, the defense gives up season highs.
(5) - The Saints can't afford to be a team that loses the ones you're "supposed" to win.
(6) - Just when Tony Romo started to fall off of people's radar, the Cowboys offense got back on track.
(7) - The Patriots have been on the receiving end and the giving end of blowouts several times this season.
(8) - The Bengals could afford one loss, and they've already given it to the Colts.
(14) - Jeff Garcia has been a true savior for the Eagles since McNabb's injury.
(9) - Their inconsistencies are what's preventing Jacksonville from having a fearsome presence.
(12) - Despite losing four games in a row, the Broncos are right back in the wildcard hunt under Cutler.
(10) - No matter how bad their struggling, this team could be dangerous in the postseason still with their experience.
(11) - At 7-7, the Giants are too fortunate to be holding a wildcard spot.
(16) - The Jets need more efforts like they gave against the Vikings, rather than the previous week against the Bills.
(17) - I had my doubts about the Titans and the playoffs a few weeks ago. Week by week though, something inside everyone is saying "maybe, just maybe".
(13) - Besides Tony Gonzalez, the Chiefs still don't have a "game-changing" receiver for Green to go to.
(21) - No offense to the Steelers, but if they make the playoffs somehow, I think I'm going to be sick.
(15) - For once, a good passing day by Michael Vick didn't result in a victory.
(24) - The Bills still have a slim shot at the postseason and deserve a lot of credit for what they've done.
(18) - The Dolphins are falling behind in their division after a horrible day by Joey Harrington.
(22) - Just like more than half of the NFC, the Rams still have a shot at a wildcard.
(23) - If the 49ers win out and Seattle loses out, the 49ers will be division champions.
(19) - Hanging on by a thread, Jake Delhomme may give one last heave to make the playoffs.
(26) - If the Packers are able to pull off two in a row, wouldn't it be something if they made the playoffs?
(25) - Jason Campbell continues to pull off upsets, as Ladell Betts streak of 100-yard games pile up.
(20) - With the Vikings QB situation, they better not make the playoffs.
(27) - Wow, it took me until my 27th team before I didn't have to mention playoff possibilities.
(28) - Will the Cardinals late surge to close the season allow Dennis Green to keep his job?
(30) - I wouldn't get too excited about Tim Rattay's big day just yet. I saw Bruce Gradkowski have a big game once too.
(29) - I think the David Carr era in Houston is just...about...over.
(31) - Pick any position on this team, and it could probably use an upgrade.
(32) - Has an NFL team ever made more mental mistakes in a single season?
