Several months ago, it was believed that Madden and Michaels would definitely be separate next season. Now, there's a very good chance that the two will be paired again. ESPN announced their announcers for Monday Night Football next season, and Michaels was not included.

MNF will feature Joe Theismann, Tony Kornheiser of the Washington Post, and Mike Tirico. Michaels has been with ABC since 1976, and will not be announcing their basketball games next season either.

There is a good chance that Michaels will not join NBC, the network in which John Madden signed a six-year deal with in June. Madden and Cris Collinsworth will be doing Sunday Night Football games, but Michaels could be added to the mix.

Michele Tafoya and Suzy Kolber will be the sideline reporters for Monday Night Football next year.
