Cleveland, OH. (PFCritics) -- Atlanta Falcons starting tight end Alge Crumpler may be limited during the preseason due to recovering from shoulder surgery, according to team general manager Rich McKay.
Crumpler had surgery back in February, but the public was not made aware of the procedure until Tuesday. The Falcons will open training camp on July 27th, and the Falcons hope that he'll be able to participate in some drills by then. McKay did not state why the team kept his surgery a "secret".
"I don't see there being any problem," McKay said to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I'm sure we'll bring him along at the right pace. We'll watch him, but he'll be OK."
Last year, Crumpler caught 65 passes for 877 yards and five touchdowns. He was Michael Vick's favorite target once again. There should not be any problems for Crumpler once the regular season starts.
Fantasy Note: Go ahead and draft him at the same place you would have before. This shouldn't hurt his value during the season too much, as there won't be a lasting effect.
