The "A-Train" is back in business. With Willis McGahee out with broken ribs, the Buffalo Bills are turning to Anthony Thomas as their starting running back this week against the Indianapolis Colts. It should be a good opportunity for Thomas, considering the condition of the Colts' run defense. This will be Thomas' first start in over a year when he was with the Chicago Bears.

"Whenever I have an opportunity, I take advantage of it," said Thomas. "You never know what's going to happen, so you have to be prepared."

Thomas didn't do too bad in relief of McGahee last week against the Green Bay Packers. Thomas carried the ball 20 times for 95 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown run. Thomas' running attack against the Packers was a primary reason why they won the game.

"Anthony's really a good football player," said Bills head coach Dick Jauron. "He's got size, he's got speed, and he's got an unusual style. He likes to play, he's got good hands, he's a good blocker, and he's a competitor."

Thomas has already rushed for more yards than he did all of last season when he was with the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys. Thomas was formerly a second-round draft pick in the 2001 draft by the Bears.
