The Chicago Bears did not receive good news when their quarterback of the future and the present tore his anterior cruciate ligament. Grossman will need seven to ten months of rehab after surgery.

Taking Grossman's place will be Jonathan Quinn. Quinn's only real action as of late was in 2001 when he played six games with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he played average.

The Bears also signed quarterback Chad Hutchinson to the roster, who was cut by the Cowboys in the offseason. Hutchinson started several games for the Cowboys a few years ago.
