The Chicago Bears have finally signed first-round draft pick Cedric Benson. The signing of Benson means that every first rounder in the draft is now signed.
Benson, who was selected fourth overall, has held out for all of training camp and the first four exhibition games. Terms of the contract were not yet disclosed.
The Bears made their final offer to Benson on August 18th, which is what he apparantly accepted.
The Bears still have running back Thomas Jones on their team, who did well last year. He rushed for 948 yards and seven touchdowns. He will likely me the team's starter to begin the season after Benson's long holdout.
