The Chicago Bears signed second-round pick Devin Hester and fourth-round pick Jamar Williams to four-year contracts. The Bears have now signed five of their draft picks, only leaving second-round CB Danieal Manning and third-round DT Dusty Dvoracek unsigned.
Hester, a defensive back from the University of Miami, will probably play in nickel and dime packages for the Bears this year. He should also see a lot of action on special teams, where he'll have a chance to thrive. During his college career, he was outstanding at returning kicks and also blocked a pair of kicks.
Williams, a linebacker from Arizona State, can play any linebacking position if he needs to. He has been impressive to the Bears' coaching staff thus far, and could be worked into rotation throughout the game.
