The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed fullback Jeremi Johnson to a one-year deal. Johnson was a restricted free agent, and has been the team's primary fullback since being drafted in 2003 by the team. He is mainly a blocker for Rudi Johnson, but will usually see a touch or two per game.
Last year, Johnson caught 12 passes for 65 yards. He also ran for 14 yards on eight carries. The move is another step towards the Bengals bringing back an offense that took the league by storm last year, and could have gone far in the playoffs had Carson Palmer not suffered an injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
