Buffalo Bills starting linebacker Angelo Crowell will likely miss the remainder of the season due to a broken left leg. He was injured this past Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, and will probably be placed on the injured reserve soon.
The injury happened when LaDainian Tomlinson ran into him on the Chargers' first possession of the game. He hopped off the field after the play. Bills head coach Dick Jauron does not expect Crowell to need surgery.
"It's tough for him and tough for us," Jauron said. "He was playing well and getting more and more comfortable in the scheme. It's a tough one and very disappointing."
Crowell has started in every game for the Bills this season, and had recorded 95 tackles this season. He became the team's starter after linebacker Takeo Spikes ruptured his Achilles' tendon last season. He was a third-round pick in the 2003 draft, and the team will certainly miss him to close out the season.
