The Buffalo Bills have locked up cornerback Terrence McGee to a four-year contract extension. McGee has turned into a good cornerback and a Pro Bowl kick returner. The deal is rumored to be worth $18 million with a $5 million signing bonus.
"I think it's great for Terrence and it's great for our team," said team president and general manager Tom Donahoe. "He's certainly proven to be one of our really good young players. We're happy for Terrence."
McGee made the Pro Bowl team last year with three kickoff returns for touchdowns.
"It's great," McGee said. "I wanted to stay here. I'm used to the system, and I like the coaching staff. It makes me feel like I'm actually doing something and making a name for myself."
This year, McGee has two interceptions on defense and is averaging 34.3 yards per kickoff return.
