After weeks of speculation, Jason Gildon signed a one year contract with the Buffalo Bills. Gildon was rumored to be in talks with teams such as the Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders and the Cincinatti Bengals. It was even rumored a few weeks ago that Gildon had reached an agreement in principle with the Bengals, however, those were just that, rumors. After being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1994, Jason Gildon was considered one of the best linebackers in the NFL. However, last season, Gildon had his worst statistical season since 1998, recording 42 tackles and just 6 sacks. The one year deal will be worth $1,2500,000 with $500,000 worth in incentives. Gildon will compete with outside linebacker Jeff Posey for a starting position, but will most likely be used as a situational pass rusher.
