The Indianapolis Colts expect to have starting safety Bob Sanders back on the field this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Sanders missed the past two days of practice due to soreness in his right knee. Before returning against the New England Patriots this past Sunday, Sanders had missed five games due to arthroscopic knee surgery.
"He's still a little sore," said Colts head coach Tony Dungy on Thursday. "We'll just have to play it by ear and see what happens."
It was actually a surprise that Sanders got the start against the Patriots last week, as he was only cleared to play about an hour before the game started. The Colts could also see the return of Rob Morris to the starting lineup this week after the injury to middle linebacker Gary Brackett. Brackett injured his hamstring against the Patriots and is not expected to play.
