The Denver Broncos have signed free agent running back Ron Dayne. Dayne, who has backed up Tiki Barber for the New York Giants the past few seasons, will replace Reuben Droughns as Denvers backup. Droughns was traded to the Cleveland Browns a few days ago.

In 62 games with the Giants, Dayne rushed for 2,067 yards and 16 touchdowns.
