The Denver Broncos may have filled the void that they had at tight end last season. The Broncos signed veteran free agent
Daniel Graham to a five-year deal on Friday. The deal is reportedly worth $30 million, according to the Denver Post.
Graham has spent the past five seasons with the New England Patriots. During his five-year stay with the team, Graham caught 120 passes for 1,393 yards and 17 touchdowns. His production seemed to fade after the team acquired tight end
Ben Watson a few years ago. Last year, he only had 21 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
Last year, the Broncos utilized
Tony Scheffler and
Stephen Alexander as their tight end combination. Together, they caught 36 passes for 446 yards and six touchdowns. After Denver's offense struggled considerably last season, the team hopes that additions like Graham and
Travis Henry will be just the thing they need to make quarterback
Jay Cutler comfortable.
