The Denver Broncos are in the process of trying to re-sign RB Ron Dayne. Dayne will be eligible for free agency when he current contract expires. Dayne was inactive for six games this past season, but performed well. He carried the ball 53 times for 270 yards. Dayne's biggest play of the season came against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12 when he had a 55-yard run in overtime to set up a game-winning field goal.

The Broncos had success this past season from running backs Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell, who nearly rushed for 1,000 yards each. Dayne was a first round pick by the New York Giants in the year 2000.
