With only one game remaining, the Cleveland Browns have placed starting tight end Steve Heiden on the injured reserve with an injured ankle. Heiden was supposed to be the Browns' second tight end on the depth chart this year, but he has had to fill in for Kellen Winslow Jr.

Heiden injured his ankle in the Browns' awful loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday. Heiden had some ankle issues earlier this season as well.

Heiden caught 43 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns this year. These are the best numbers for a tight end in Cleveland since 1985, when Ozzie Newsome did better.
