The Cleveland Browns have waived quarterback Doug Johnson, who was named the team's third quarterback to begin the season. Johnson could not beat out rookie Charlie Frye for the backup job.

The Browns claimed rookie quarterback Derek Anderson off waivers, who was released from the Baltimore Ravens. Anderson was picked in the sixth round by Baltimore.
