-
New England Patriots linebacker has decided to sit out the entire 2005 season after the stroke he suffered shortly after the Super Bowl.

He has not decided if he will retire from football yet, so that decision is at least on hold for another year.

"Football to me, it's something I love and it's something I'll always want to do," said Bruschi at a Super Bowl party last month. "But I've got to think about my wife and my sons and just make sure things are right."

Tedy Bruschi was second on the team with 122 tackles last year. He has 753 tackle, 25 sacks, 11 interceptions, and 17 forced fumbles in his career. He has been one of the guys to really push the Patriots defense to the next level the past couple of years, and will be missed.
