-
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed quarterback Chris Simms to a one-year deal. Simms would have become a restricted free agent if the Buccaneers had not done anything to keep the young quarterback.

Last year, Simms took over for starting quarterback Brian Griese, who missed the remainder of the season to a knee injury. Simms started the final ten games, but lost in his only playoff game against the Washington Redskins.

Chris is the son of the legendary Phil Simms.
