Philadelphia Eagles running back Correll Buckhalter tore the patella tendon in his right knee in the first quarter of the Eagles 27-17 pre-season victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Friday night, which will most likely end his season. Buckhalter missed the entire 2002 season after tearing his ACL in his left knee. Buckhalter was expected to share the Eagles ball-carrying load along with 3rd year back Brian Westbrook. Eagles rookie running back Bruce Perry had season ending shoulder surgery earlier in the month, which leaves 3rd year HB and kick returner, Reno Mahe, as Westbrooks backup. Look for the Eagles to sign a veteran running back at the end of training camp.
