The Chicago Bears will look to improve their depth this week with the return of rookie RB Cedric Benson. Benson has not played since Week 10, after suffering a knee injury. Benson really started to come on Weeks 9 and 10, after the Bears started giving him the football more often.
"[Benson] looked better this last week in practice," said Bears' offensive coordinator Ron Turner. "And the word I got last week was that he should be ready this week."
The Bears will still be sticking with Thomas Jones as their starting running back during the playoffs. This week's game against the Minnesota Vikings has no impact whatsoever on their playoff chances though, meaning they can rest Jones and give the rookie an opportunity.
