The San Diego Chargers have signed wide receiver Kassim Osgood to a four-year contract. Although Osgood is a receiver, most of his playing time came on special teams, where he recorded 19 tackles. His season ended early when he tore his pectoral muscle on December 4th during a game.

"Kassim is an outstanding special teams performer and a rising quality receiver," said Chargers general manager A.J. Smith. "He has championship work ethic and character. He's the kind of player you need to win championships. We're thrilled to have him with us the next four years."

Osgood only caught two passes this season, but he may see increased action in the future as a receiver.
