The Kansas City Chiefs have activated linebacker Shawn Barbger from the physically-unable-to-perform-list, a move that should really help out their defense.
Barber had missed the final eight games last year and this entire season thus far due to a knee injury. Barber came to the Chiefs as a free agent in 2003.
In his career, Barber has 10 sacks and seven interceptions in 89 games. The Chiefs defense has been better than it has been in the past, but they are still searching for improvement.
There is a good chance that Barber could play against the New England Patriots this week. To make room for Barber, the Chiefs placed backup linebacker Kris Griffin on the injured reserve.
