-
The Kansas City Chiefs have cut wide receiver Freddie Mitchell, who signed with the team as a free agent during the offseason. Mitchell had been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with Kansas City.

Mitchell did not live up to his expectations in Philadelphia and was often known for being too cocky.

Mitchell sustained a knee injury that prevented him from playing in any preseason games. He will go under arthroscopic knee surgery and hopes that the Chiefs will re-sign him again after he is healthy.
