Cleveland, Oh. (PFCritics) -- The Kansas City Chiefs signed defensive back Jearld Brown to a two-year contract on Tuesday. Brown has played for the Arena Football League the past three years after not being drafted to the NFL. Last year, he played for the Columbus Destroyers and had an outstanding season. He recorded 65 tackles and intercepted the ball 11 times. He also had two fumble recoveries.
These performances made Brown the defensive player of the year for the AFL. Brown will probably find a spot for himself as a backup defensive back for the Chiefs.
