The Indianapolis Colts have signed defensive tackle Corey Simon to a multi-year deal. Simon was released by the Eagles a few days ago, after Simon refused to end his holdout.
Simon, a former Pro Bowler, will greatly improve the Colts' defensive line. He will play along with DT Dwight Freeny, another Pro Bowler.
"You can chase a lot of these guys, but if they don't have a motivation, you're usually spinning your wheels," said Colts head coach. "When we talked to him early on, it was evident we were one of the places he was truly interested in. We felt we had something good to offer, and he felt the same way."
Simon has 32 sacks in his five-year career. He recorded 270 tackles during that time span. Simon did not come to any of the Eagles minicamps, as he wanted a bigger contract.
