The Dallas Cowboys have now signed wide receiver Terrell Owens to a three-year deal worth $25 million. The deal includes a signing bonus worth $5 million.
Last year, Owens played in seven games for the Eagles before the team "suspended" him for the remainder of the season due to detrimental behavior and disturbances towards the team. McNabb did not make too many friends with the Eagles, especially after he verbally assaulted quarterback Donovan McNabb numerous times to the press. Owens still performed while he played last year though, catching 47 passes for 763 yards and six touchdowns.
A few teams had shown interest in Ownes, but the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be the front runner ever since the season ended. Many believe that Bill Parcells will not take crap from anybody and he of all coaches will be able to stabilize Owens.
Owens has had some controversial moments in Dallas before, when he caught a touchdown against them in 2002 and then ran to the star at midfield to celebrate in front of everybody.
"I'm a star among stars now," Owens said..."I'm going to put those things behind me. "They can only make a man stronger, wiser. For me, that's what it's done. I'll be a better teammate, a better person, a better man in life. I'm looking forward to this opportunity. I couldn't be more excited to be here."
