The Dallas Cowboys have announced that linebacker Dat Nguyen will retire after having neck problems last year. The team also released defensive tackle La'Roi Glover.

Glover signed with the Cowboys in 2002 and made the Pro Bowl this past season. He had 26 tackles and three sacks last year and is second all-time among sacks for defensive tackles with 71.5.

The Cowboys will miss the presence of Nguyen, but he simply could not continue due to his injuries. When healthy, he made a big impact, including leading the Cowboys in 2001 with 172 tackles. His final game came on Thanksgiving Day against the Denver Broncos.
