The Miami Dolphins found their running back to possibly replace Ricky Williams this season by acquiring Amon Gordon from the St. Louis Rams. In return, the Rams will get a third round pick in the 2005 draft. Miami had an extra third round pick from the Marty Booker deal.
Gordon was a third stringer this season behind Marshall Faulk and Steven Jackson in St. Louis. However, Gordon will likely not play week one, since he has just arrived to the Dolphins system.
