Indianapolis Colts safety Michael Doss will miss the first two games of the regular season after being suspended by the NFL after pleading no contest to misdemeanor gun charges.
The Colts will not dispute the move.
"We support the policy and the commissioner completely and therefore left it in his hands," Colts president Bill Polian said on the NFL's decision.
Doss will be able to particpate in the entire preseason, but not the first two games of the season. The Colts need all of the defensive help they can get, so not having Doss to begin the season is a significant loss.
