-
The San Diego Chargers have released quarterback Doug Flutie. Flutie, who as played for twenty years, will have to decide if he will play for another team at this stage of his career. The Chargers had nothing against Flutie, but they just locked up Drew Brees and they need to begin grooming Phillip Rivers, the teams first round draft pick last season.

Flutie began in the NFL in 1986, when he played for the Chicago Bears. Between 1990 to 1997, Flutie was in the Canadian Football League.
