-
Tennessee Titans veteran running back, Eddie George, has rejected the Titans latest offer for a contract. The Titans need some salary cap help to sign their thirteen draft picks, and reducing George's contract was the goal. Geoege thinks that he is worth more than being offered.

That is why George has asked for a release, so that he has enough time to make a team before training camp begins. George has rushed for over 10,000 yards in his career.

There are a few places in need of running backs. George feels that Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, and Dallas may be possibilities, all teams who will be contenders this season.

If George is released, second year running back Chris Brown may be in line for the starting role. Last year, Brown rushed for 221 yards, with a 3.9 yards per carry average. That was an improvement to George's 3.3 yards per carry.
