After weeks of rumors of where free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress would land, he finally signed with the New York Giants. The Giants, who showed the most interest in Burress, signed him for six years for $25 million.
The move is a significant loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Burress should be the go to receiver for the young Eli Manning. Manning didn't really have a receiving threat last year besides running back Tiki Barber and tight end Jeremy Shockey.
Burress is very good at getting the deep ball and jumping high, allowing Eli to be more versatile in his passing game. Amani Toomer will likely be the 2nd receiver behind Burress.
