The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive tackle Grady Jackson to a three-year deal, pending on a physical. Jackson has spent the past three years with the Green Bay Packers. Last year, he recorded 54 tackles for the Packers.

The Falcons plan on using Jackson in short-yardage situations as a run stuffer due to his large size. Jackson is 6-foot-2, 355 pounds. He visited several other teams before signing with Atlanta.

The signing came near the time the Falcons dealt running back T.J. Duckett for wide receiver Ashley Lelie.
