There's a reason why the Dallas Cowboys cut ties with quarterback Quincy Carter a few years ago. No longer in football, Carter was arrested on Friday for marijuana possession chargers after a woman called police regarding the matter.
Carter was released Friday afternoon after posting bond. Dallas originally released Carter in 2004 after reports claimed that he had failed a drug test. He was sent to the NFL's substance-abuse program when he was with the New York Jets later on that season.
Carter, who was a second-round draft pick in 2001 by the Cowboys, started 31 games for Dallas.
