The Kansas City Chiefs have signed wide receiver Freddie Mitchell. The move comes after receiver Az-Zahir Hakim decided not to sign with the team at the last second. Originally, it was believed that Hakim was already a Chief.
Mitchell has spent the past four years with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he often got in trouble after his trash talking.
Before the Super Bowl, Mitchell claimed he had a surprise for the New England Patriots secondary, but he ended up not doing anything in the Eagles loss.
In his career with the Eagles, Mitchell caught 90 passes for 1,263 yards and five touchdowns.
"We're very happy to have him here and I think he's happy to be here," Vermeil said. "He's in a good frame of mind and his attitude is very good."
