Free agent WR Antonio Freeman was impressive in his try-out with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday.
The Dolphins are looking for a receiver to complement Chris Chambers after David Boston went down with a season-ending injury.
Freeman may have to wait a bit before the Dolphins let him know if he's sign or not, however. It is rumored that the Dolphins are after disgruntled Tampa WR Keenan McCardell, who has sat out the team's entire camps so far holding out for a bigger contract.
The Dolphins maybe willing to give McCardell the big contract that he is looking for, and with Tampa's recent signing of Tim Brown, McCardell is expendable.
Why the Dolphins would go for a WR when there season is all but lost is beyond me. For that team to win, they need a running game, not a passing game, and unless Dan Marino is coming out of retirement, they're not going to have a passing game. Trading for someone like Michael Bennett would seem like a more logical choice than trading for McCardell.
