-
Cleveland Browns' cornerback Gary Baxter left the team's exhibition game against the Detroit Lions after suffering a concussion during the first quarter.

Near the goal line on third down, QB Joey Harrington threw a pass in the flat to RB Kevin Jones. Three Browns players converged on the tackle, but Baxter collided helmet to helmet with Jones and was knocked out.

The Browns were already without starting QB Daylon McCutcheon due to migraines, safety Brodney Pool from a concussion, and reserve CB Michael Lehan to a leg injury.

Baxter may play next week, and he is listed as day-to-day.
