After missing all of training camp and the preseason to think about retiring, defensive end Michael Strahan was activated on Saturday for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys reported that Strahan would likely see playing time in the Sunday night contest. To make room for Strahan, the team waived cornerback Dovonte Edwards.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has yet to declare Strahan's official status for the game, due to the lack of physical contact he's had over the summer. Strahan believes he's ready to play though, and the Giants may not be able to afford missing such a high caliber player in a game of this magnitude.
