-
The Houston Texans have released linebacker Jamie Sharper. Sharper has played eight seasons in the NFL and has been with the team since 2002.

Last year, Sharper led the Texans with 137 tackles, but the Texans want a new look on defense. The move was expected, since Sharper wanted out of Houston.

Before playing for Houston, Sharper was on the Baltimore Ravens for five seasons where he had won a Super Bowl.

Sharper should have a good market going after him.
