The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded kicker Seth Marler to the Dallas Cowboys for a draft pick in 2006. It will likely be a 7th rounder, but it could turn out to be a 6th.

The Cowboys cut Billy Cundiff, the team's kicker for the past three season. Cundiff was cut after he became injured during the final day of training camp.

The Cowboys have kicker Jose Cortez on their roster still, who will compete with Marler. Cortez is currently 4-for-4 in field goals this preseason.

Marler played for the Jaguars in 2003, but missed all of last year with an injury. In 2003, he hit 20-of-33 field goals.
