The Jacksonville Jaguars season took a hard hit after they found out that starting quarterback Byron Leftwich will be out indefinitly after spraining his lateral collateral ligament in his left knee.

Backup quarterback David Garrard will take over for Leftwich at the moment. Garrard has thrown just 60 passes in his three year career as a backup.

The good news for the Jaguars is that they have a bye week, giving Garrard two weeks to prepare for the Chargers on November 14th.
